Optimising logistics methods
The Thales site in Cholet wants to speed up its incoming goods inspection. To achieve this increase in productivity, Thalès has identified various improvement options, ranging from optimising inspection resources to the possible use of a subcontractor. With this in mind, Axsant is involved in a project to develop Inspection Instruction Sheets (IIS) and related processes.
Our mission
- Identify, analyse, develop and present recommendations for implementation.
- Establish standards, tools and dashboards.
- Define inspection sheets for all planned deliveries.
- Project management and coordination of the various parties involved.
- Supporting, training and empowering the Thales representative in charge of post-project operations.
Results achieved
- Produced 636 inspection instruction sheets.
- Optimisation of inspection productivity by 30% for the 20% of sheets with the most inspection points.
- Thales Cholet takes ownership of the project and moves to 100% autonomy.
