Robotization of logistics
The Thales Cholet site is launching a project to find logistics solutions using mobile robot technology. The aim of the project is to make logistics operations less cumbersome by automating the management of incoming goods and the picking of small size products in the general warehouse. It will also serve as a showcase concept for the rest of the Group.
Our mission
- Analysis of all logistics flows in the general parts shop (VSM, product families and operation standards).
- Identification, analysis and presentation of an implementation proposal using the DMAIC method.
- Sourcing and comparative analysis of potential solutions.
- Steering the logistics improvement project and providing support to the various internal players.
Results achieved
- Analysis of added value and identification of valueless operations that could be optimised by robotics.
- Create a tool to help calculate ROI using standard times.
- Produce functional specifications for the selected robotic solutions.
- Create a solution selection matrix and recommend a preferred solution.
